Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: 19 May 2026
Thank you for choosing Dignity in Care Academy.
We are committed to delivering high-quality caregiver education and professional development. Due to limited course spaces, digital content access, and administrative scheduling requirements, the following refund and cancellation terms apply.
1. Training Programmes and Virtual Courses
This policy applies to all online caregiver certification programmes, virtual training courses, and educational cohorts offered by Dignity in Care Academy.
Cancellation 14 or More Calendar Days Before Course Start
Students are eligible for a full refund, less a non-refundable administrative processing fee.
Cancellation 7–13 Calendar Days Before Course Start
Students are not eligible for a monetary refund but will receive a credit voucher to transfer enrolment to the next available cohort.
Cancellation Less Than 7 Calendar Days Before Course Start
No refunds or credits will be issued.
After Course Access Has Been Granted
Once a course has officially commenced or course materials, virtual classroom access, or training links have been distributed, fees become non-refundable, except where required by law or at the Academy’s sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.
2. Orientation and Registration Fees
This applies to caregivers completing professional orientation, onboarding, screening, or placement readiness processes.
Orientation fees are non-refundable once registration has been confirmed.
If a participant cannot attend due to an emergency, notice must be provided at least 48 hours in advance to allow rescheduling for a future session without penalty.
Failure to attend without notice will result in forfeiture of the fee.
Agency registration and screening fees are administrative in nature and become non-refundable once processing has begun.
3. Course Cancellation by the Academy
Dignity in Care Academy reserves the right to postpone or cancel any course due to insufficient enrolment, technical difficulties, instructor emergencies, or unforeseen operational circumstances.
Where the Academy cancels a course entirely, enrolled students will be offered either:
A full refund; or
Guaranteed placement in the next available cohort
4. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have:
Reliable internet access
A compatible computer, tablet, or smartphone
Access to required software platforms where applicable
Refunds will not be issued for personal technical difficulties, internet disruptions, or device incompatibility on the part of the student.
5. Events Beyond Our Control
Dignity in Care Academy shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellations resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, utility failures, natural disasters, public emergencies, or other force majeure events.
