Training Disclaimer

By enrolling in, purchasing, or participating in any training programmes, virtual certificate courses, orientations, workshops, or educational materials provided by Dignity in Care Academy (collectively referred to as the “Programmes”), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Not a Medical, Nursing, or Professional Licence Qualification

The training, educational content, and materials provided by Dignity in Care Academy are designed to teach foundational caregiving, elderly care, dementia-informed support, and patient safety skills.

Our programmes do not constitute, replace, or confer professional licensure in nursing, medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or any regulated healthcare profession.

Graduates receive a Dignity in Care Academy Certificate of Completion reflecting successful completion of internal training requirements.

All graduates are expected to operate strictly within the legal scope of non-medical caregiving support as permitted within Jamaica and other applicable jurisdictions.

2. No Guarantee of Employment or Placement

Completion of any Dignity in Care Academy programme does not guarantee:

  • Employment placement

  • Agency assignment

  • Client referral

  • Specific earnings or income level

While Dignity in Care Agency may consider graduates who meet agency placement standards and current client requirements, all placement decisions remain subject to:

  • Market demand

  • Client preferences

  • Background screening

  • Availability

  • Individual performance and professionalism

3. Medical Information and Scope of Practice Disclaimer

Any medical, health-related, mobility, or physical support practices discussed during training are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Students are trained to assist with activities of daily living and to follow care instructions provided by licensed healthcare professionals or authorised family representatives where applicable.

Students and graduates must not perform medical procedures or exceed the lawful scope of non-medical caregiving.

Dignity in Care Academy accepts no liability for actions taken independently by students or graduates outside the scope of their training or legal caregiving responsibilities.

4. Technical and Performance Requirements

Students are solely responsible for maintaining:

  • Reliable internet access

  • A compatible smartphone, tablet, or computer

  • Appropriate access to required learning platforms

Dignity in Care Academy is not responsible for missed participation or incomplete training resulting from personal technical difficulties.

5. Programme Changes and Updates

Dignity in Care Academy reserves the right to revise, improve, update, or modify course materials, delivery methods, scheduling, and educational content to reflect operational improvements, regulatory developments, and evolving caregiving best practices.

Participation in our programmes constitutes acceptance of such updates where reasonably required.

6. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in or participating in any Dignity in Care Academy programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Training Disclaimer in full.
